I've said it once and ill say it again. Regular home maintenance is so imperative to saving money.
With all the rain we have had in the last 4 months and the call outs we have had a few simple chores around the home could have saved people time hassle and money
1. Clean your gutters regularly (even if you have gutter guard still check)
2. Install gutter guard as a back-up. Remember it's a back-up!
3. Clean your gutters!!!!!!!!
4. Get your roof checked every 2 years, checking for broken tiles, failing flashings and pointing for the cost of $200-300 odd. Is well worth it compared to the cost of a new ceiling etc..
5. Get you pipes checked! Get a plumber in to check your storm-water and sewer if needed every couple of years. Again for small cost could save you thousands.
